At a Gaia Holistix retreat we open our home to you and create a welcoming, nonjudgmental, caring, healing environment in which you can unwind and be yourself. A place where you can take time away from your busy life to reflect and find personal inspiration. We support people wherever they are on their own personal spiritual journey.

We provide a natural healing space with potential to begin or further your personal journey of self development. Thus assisting you to achieve your own potentiality, creativity and inner peace.

You can choose to do as much or as little as you wish on our all inclusive retreats.

You can participate in our personal treatments, meditations and any of our workshop activities where you can learn to heal or should you wish it, couples massage/reflexology tuition.

Our frame of mind affects us in all aspects of our lives,
our relationships, our success at work,
our enjoyment of the gifts this world can offer,
and of course our health.

In this way we do our best to accommodate your personal requirements and you go home with more than a memory.

A little information about our location.

Old Church House was built in 1856 and was superbly and sympathetically converted in the mid 1980's. Many original features are still present. All the rooms enjoy spectacular views across the Vale of Pickering and to the North York Moors.

A twin bedroom and a private bathroom incorporating a Victorian roll top bath suite. Tea and coffee making facilities are available in your room.

On arrival you can enjoy a welcome tray of tea or coffee and delicious homemade cakes in our delightful lounge beside the wood burning stove.

Meals are served in the Dining Room, breakfast includes a choice of Continental
or a full hearty Yorkshire "fry up".

Where possible food is locally sourced and organic.
Vivien is an excellent cook and special dietary requests can be catered for, please advise when making your booking.

Location.

Great Barugh( pronounced Barf) is a small hamlet located within the Vale of Pickering in North Yorkshire. It lies within 6 miles of the old market towns of Malton, Pickering and Kirbymoorside. All 3 still hold traditional markets and Farmer's markets. Pickering is famous for its castle and the North York Moors steam railway which travels up through Heartbeat country.

Castle Howard is nearby as is the historic city of York. The spectacular Yorkshire coastline of Whitby, Scarborough and Filey and James Herriot's Yorkshire Dales are only slightly further afield.

Prices.
An individuals three night healing retreat in our own home is.	£425
A couples three night healing retreat in our own home is.	£400 per person.
We require a £50.00 non returnable deposit per person, to be paid when your booking is confirmed, the balance is to be paid within seven days of your retreat.

There are no fixed dates for our Therapeutic/Healing Retreats.

We prefer you to decide when you would like to have your retreat, it can be for any three nights in a row that we can organise.
